APA 7, MLA 9, Chicago 18 (author and date, plus notes and bibliography), Cite Them Right Harvard 12, IEEE, Vancouver (NLM), AMA 11, and ACS. You can change styles without rebuilding your source list.
It looks for relevant sources on the public web, then compares your text with passages we can actually retrieve. The report shows matching passages and source links. It does not cover private university repositories or every published work, and a match is not a verdict of plagiarism.
You stay in control. Ask a question or select a passage for help. Suggested edits appear for review; you choose what to accept, dismiss, or undo.
Yes. Paste your text or import a TXT or DOCX draft. PDFs can be added as sources. You can export a document as DOCX, download a PDF, or download your bibliography as BibTeX or RIS.
Open Cite and paste a URL, DOI, or ISBN, or search for a title. Review the source details, choose your citation style, and insert the citation into your draft.
Yes. Check details such as the author, title, publication date, and page numbers against the original source. Citation helps with formatting, but a final review helps you catch missing or incorrect information.
Not necessarily. A match may be a quotation, a common phrase, or a passage that needs a reference. Read the linked source and consider the context. No matches does not prove that a document is original.
Use Export in your document to download a DOCX or download a PDF. You can also export your bibliography as BibTeX or RIS to use with other reference tools.
